Reopening of Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris: more actions for families and youth
Cultural and historical place (it was founded in 1862, Editor’s note), “Theatre du Chatelet” reopens its doors tomorrow Friday, September 13th. The former imperial theater located in the heart of Paris, Place du Chatelet, was closed for two and a half years for renovation.
The works concerned as much the artistic and heritage renovation of the building, as for its compliance with the technical standards. The goal is to improve the technical presentation of the shows, but also access to the public. Example with the improvements made to the access of people with reduced mobility.
Another novelty of the Théâtre du Chatelet new version, more openness to families and young audiences
With regard to the cultural offer, the Theater intends to be more open to families and young people, including participatory workshops. For Thomas Lauriot alias “Prévost” cited by the site of Le Monde, “These workshops are one of the keys to this transformation and openness to the general public.” The co-director of Chatelet also announces the gesture made towards young people: 10 000 places to 10 euros for under 26 years.
On the occasion of the reopening of Theatre du Chatelet, many events (including free, Ed), will be available to the public from Friday and throughout the weekend. ©Dzaleu.com
