Cameroon: 1502, free number to denounce illegal or suspicious commercial activities
Set up by the Cameroon Ministry of Commerce, the 1502 allows any citizen witnessing dubious practices endangering the consumer, to report this to the authorities.
Last Friday, the 1502 again allowed the National Brigade of Controls and Repression of Fraud (BNCRF) to seize merchandise unfit for consumption.
“About 1,000 liters of crude and refined palm oil have just been seized at the market of Biyem-Assi and a secret bakery sealed at the Mimboman district in Yaounde”, can we read on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Commerce.
At the end of September, a call to 1502 had allowed the elements of the Ministry headed by Luc Magloire MBARGA ATANGANA to destroy the destruction of products imporpres for consumption.
Viennese pastries, vegetable oils, beverages and other consumer goods had been destroyed on 27 September at the Hysacam dump in Nkolfoulou, a suburb of Yaoundé.
Judged unfit for consumption and dangerous to health, these tons of goods had been destroyed before the administrative authorities of the District of SOA and Consumer Rights Associations.
As for the closed bakery in the Mimboman district, the photos speak for themselves: unsanitary conditions, conditions obviously inadequate to make bread ©Dzaleu.com
